Brian Forystek attended Carl Sandburg High School from 1992-1996. During his four years as an Eagle, he became one of Carl Sandburg’s best pitchers. He was the first Carl Sandburg baseball player to be drafted out of high school by the Florida Marlins.

Brian Forystek had an incredible high school baseball career at Carl Sandburg High School. Brian broke the single season records for strike-outs, wins and ERA. As an Eagle he almost single-handily carried the Eagles to state in Class 4A in 1996. The 6-foot-1 lefty went 13-1 with an 0.55 ERA and struck out 125 in 89 1/3 innings. He earned All-State honors and was named Player of the Year by the Chicago Tribune in 1996.

Brian continued his baseball career at Illinois State University. He ranked in the top 5 for strike-outs, innings pitched and wins during his four years as a Redbird. He was drafted in the 14th round by the Baltimore Orioles Organization. He pitched seven successful seasons playing at all levels in the organization. In 2002, he was placed on the Baltimore Orioles 40-man roster.

Brian’s passion for baseball and athletics lives on in his career and family life. Today, Brian is co-owner of Future Stars Baseball Academy in Mokena. He is well known in the Chicagoland area as being one of the best pitching instructors. Future Stars was recently selected for the 2019 Best of Mokena Awards in the category of Baseball Clubs. Brian is also the owner of Chicago Elite; a high school travel baseball and college recruiting organization. He has helped 112 college commits since 2012 with 52 committing to Division I schools and six Major League Draft picks. He coaches his two daughters, Mia and Ella, on the soccer field and is their #1 fan on the softball field.
